Exporting Microsoft Access OLE data

about
Data stored in a Microsoft Access OLE field isn't exactly consistent with regards to its format. While SQL Image Viewer can extract data from such fields, it may not always correctly identify the type of data that is stored.

If this happens, please send us a copy of the data as stored in the database field, and we will try to fix the issue. You can save the raw data using the hex viewer, and send the file to support@yohz.com.

SQL Image Viewer can identify binary data which were stored using Microsoft Access. They will be identified as 'Microsoft Access OLE field' type.

In the Export Items Wizard, you have the option of exporting these data type.

The 'Advanced' button allows you to further select the type of operation to perform, and the type of data to export.

Option
Description
Remove Access OLE header
Microsoft Access adds its own header to all binary data that it stores. Select this option to remove that header from the exported data.
Acrobat files
Select this option to extract Acrobat files stored in the Access OLE field.
Images
Select this option to extract images stored in the Access OLE field.

You can also select the image format to store the exported images in, and also various other options depending on the selected format.
Packages
Packages are what Microsoft Access stores when a file is embedded in field, and no application was registered to open that file. As the name of the embedded file is also stored, you have the option of using that name to name the exported data, or just the original file extension.
Microsoft Office files
Select this option to export any Word, Excel or Powerpoint files that have been stored in the field.
